On March 20, the Liang Sicheng Architecture Award Exhibition Hall was inaugurated in Lizhuang Ancient Town. Over one hundred guests were present, including experts and leading officials from the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Architectural Society of China, the People’s Government of Yibin Municipality, major architecture schools and design institutes, as well as descendants of Liang Sicheng and Lin Huiyin. Chen Ziming, Executive Chief Architect of China IPPR International Engineering Co., Ltd., also attended the opening ceremony.
Representative works of Dr. Huang Xiqiu are exhibited in the Liang Sicheng Architecture Award Exhibition Hall. As the recipient of the 6th Liang Sicheng Architecture Award and Consulting Chief Architect of China IPPR International Engineering Co., Ltd., Dr. Huang attracted extensive attention at the exhibition for his profound academic achievements and outstanding industrial contributions in medical architecture research and practice.

Approved by the State Council, this national award for architectural design in China is recognized as one of the highest honors in China’s architectural community. Hosted by the Architectural Society of China, the award aims to inspire architects and architectural scholars to pursue innovation, boost architectural creation, and elevate the standards of architectural design, theoretical research and architectural education. Since its establishment, the award has honored a total of 27 distinguished architects, architectural theorists and architectural educators from home and abroad.
Liang Sicheng Architecture Award Exhibition Hall:
Located in the east and west wing rooms of the Zhang Family Courtyard, the Exhibition Hall of the Society for Research in Chinese Architecture in the Moonfield Zone of Lizhuang Ancient Town, the exhibition space covers an area of 500 square meters. Centered on the life stories and award-winning works of all past winners of the Liang Sicheng Architecture Award, the exhibition hall concentrates relevant displays to popularize architectural knowledge and disseminate the history and culture of Chinese architecture. It is the first exhibition hall dedicated to the Liang Sicheng Architecture Award in China.
